FAQ's

Question:
How is Artisan CMS different from other CMS's?

Answer:
Artisan CMS is a Content Management System and bespoke accessible website (compliant with BOBBY AAA) all in one. After a free consultation we will design and build your website to your specifications minus the content. You will then use Artisan CMS to create, add and delete content where necessary. Artisan CMS has been developed and tested by Accessibility and Usability experts so that any novice user is able to use the CMS fully and without tuition.

Question:
I have no technical web experience - will I be able to use Artisan CMS?

Answer:
Yes - One of the reasons for developing Artisan CMS was because of our awareness that most CMS's are complicated to use and contain more functionality than is entirely necessary. With Artisan CMS we have researched the needs of Arts organisations requiring a CMS allowing us to predict exactly what would be required in terms of functionality and therefore tailor the product to fit the specific needs of this sector. This will enable us to create an exceptionally user friendly CMS, with a 'quick-update' 4 step process for novice users. The processes involved in using the CMS as well as the website itself has been extensively tested within a usability lab.

Question:
How much does Artisan CMS cost?

Answer:
The basic Artisan Package (bespoke website and CMS see product features) costs £3000.00. For Artisan CMS plus the newsletter module costs £4000.00. There is also a maintenance charge of £200.00 a year.

Question:
Do I need an Internet Connection to use Artisan CMS?

Answer:
Yes - Artisan is a web application ie: you access it through your web browser.

Question:
Do I need more than one license for other people to use Artisan CMS within my organisation?

No - you only need one license per organisation.

Question:
Can I copy and paste content from a Microsoft Word document into Artisan CMS?

Yes - One of the aspects of Microsoft Word documents is that they contain HTML formatting on the text. The problem with this is that the code generated by Word isn't accessible. Artisan get's round this problem by stripping Word of it's HTML formatting where necessary so that when the content is uploaded the text formatting is accessible.
